During your stay

The Bothy is located in the heart of the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. We are halfway between the main town of Stornoway and the famous Callanish Standing Stones.

While you’re here, ask us about great spots to visit and activities to try with other local businesses, like surfing with Surf Lewis, coasteering with Wild Atlantic Adventures, mountain biking with Bike Hebrides, or why don’t you read below about booking a workshop in analogue photography right next door to your Bothy with Island Darkroom.

There’s also many beautiful walks to be taken straight from the Bothy, down the croft to the loch or up the hill to our peat bank with views to die for!

Next door on the croft…

During your stay here, pay a visit next door to Island Darkroom, a black and white photographic studio and workshop space. Here you can peruse through the many textiles, gifts and prints all made in Island Darkroom by award winning photographer, Mhairi Law.

Why not try a new experience on your holiday and enrol on a workshop in shooting, developing and printing your own analogue photographs? Visit the Island Darkroom website for more details on how to sign up.
